Ram Pothineni’s Marriage Is On Cards! Actor Likely To Get Hitched To High School Girlfriend? Read On!

June 27, 2022 by www.filmibeat.com Leave a Comment

Ram Pothineni is undeniably one of the most handsome heroes of Tollywood, who is an eligible bachelor. The 34-year-old actor usually maintains a low-key profile and keeps his personal life at bay. He only speaks of his films and uses social media handles to keep in touch with his fans about his professional life.

The latest buzz has it that the actor is going to get hitched very soon. He has been seeing a high-school friend of his for a long time and their friendship grew into love. Both party families have met and spoke about taking their relationship forward by getting them both married.

If the grapevine is anything to be believed, the most eligible hero will tie the nuptial knot very soon either in August or September. There was no official confirmation as yet from either party. However, Ram’s family is keen on announcing the happy news to the fans and public very soon.

With most of his peers getting into the nuptial bond, Ram, who is the relative of producer Sravanthi Ravi kishore is an actor who girls go gaga over. With his flawless complexion and dimple cheeks, Ram has this guy-next-door image and is a household favorite.

Ram made his debut at the age of 19 with YVS Chowdary directorial Devadas starring Ileana D Cruz. The movie is a blockbuster summer hit when it was released back in 2006. Ever since the actor has been choosy about the kind of roles he picks and has carved a niche for himself in the industry.

On the work front, Ram is now shooting for his Tamil-Telugu bilingual The Warrior with director N Linguswamy with Krithi Shetty as the female lead. The movie is an action-comedy and has Aadhi Pinisetty, Akshara Gowda, and Nadhiya in key roles.

Ram will be seen as Inspector Satya in The Warrior and the film’s songs are already topping the music charts. Devi Sri Prasad scored music for the film which is being bankrolled by Srinivasa Chitturi. Naveen Nooli is on board as the film’s editor and Sujith Vaassudev is cranking the camera.

Supreme Court rules in favor of former coach in prayer case

Fox News chief legal correspondent Shannon Bream breaks down the details of former high school football coach Joe Kennedy’s case and the Supreme Court’s 6-3 ruling in his favor

The Supreme Court handed a big win to a former Washington high school football coach who lost his job over reciting a prayer on the 50-yard line after games.

At issue was whether a public school employee praying alone but in view of students was engaging in unprotected “government speech,” and if it is not government speech, does it still pose a problem under the First Amendment’s Establishment Clause .

The Supreme Court ruled Monday in a 6-3 decision that the answer to both questions is no.

“Here, a government entity sought to punish an individual for engaging in a brief, quiet, personal religious observance doubly protected by the Free Exercise and Free Speech Clauses of the First Amendment. And the only meaningful justification the government offered for its reprisal rested on a mistaken view that it had a duty to ferret out and suppress,” Justice Neil Gorsuch wrote in the Court’s opinion. “Religious observances even as it allows comparable secular speech. The Constitution neither mandates nor tolerates that kind of discrimination.”

CONSERVATIVE SCOTUS JUSTICES OFFER TACIT SUPPORT FOR FOOTBALL COACH’s ON-FIELD PRAYER

Joe Kennedy: Fighting for religious liberty is 'without a doubt' worth it Video

Joe Kennedy was a junior varsity head coach and varsity assistant coach with the Bremerton School District in Washington from 2008 to 2015. He began the practice of reciting a post-game prayer by himself, but eventually students started joining him. According to court documents, this evolved into motivational speeches that included religious themes. After an opposing coach brought it to the principal’s attention, the school district told Kennedy to stop. He did, temporarily, then notified the school that he would resume the practice.

The situation garnered media attention, and when Kennedy announced that he would go back to praying on the field, it raised security concerns. When he did pray after the game, a number of people stormed the field in support.

The school district then offered to let Kennedy pray in other locations before and after games, or for him to pray on the 50-yard line after everyone else had left the premises, but he refused, insisting that he would continue his regular practice. After continuing the prayers at two more games, the school district placed Kennedy on leave.

The school district’s reasoning was that if they allowed Kennedy, their employee, to pray on the field at a school game, it would violate the First Amendment’s Establishment Clause, which protects separation of church and state.

“That reasoning was misguided,” the majority opinion said. “Both the Free Exercise and Free Speech Clauses of the First Amendment protect expressions like Mr. Kennedy’s. Nor does a proper understanding of the Amendment’s Establishment Clause require the government to single out private religious speech for special disfavor. ”

Gorsuch stated that not just the Constitution, but “the best of our traditions” call for “mutual respect and tolerance, not censorship and suppression, for religious and nonreligious views alike.”

The Court’s ruling also stated that there is a distinct reason for why speech like Kennedy’s is protected by both the Free Speech and Free Exercise Clauses.

“That the First Amendment doubly protects religious speech is no accident. It is a natural outgrowth of the framers’ distrust of government attempts to regulate religion and suppress dissent,” Gorsuch wrote.

The Court explained why Kennedy’s prayer is not government speech, even though he was a government employee. The opinion stated that his words were not “pursuant to a government policy,” he was not “seeking to convey a government-created message,” and he was not acting in the normal scope of his duties because  the game was over, he was not providing instruction or game strategy, and that he prayed at a time when he was free to do other things like “attend briefly to personal matters.”

Justice Samuel Alito also recognized in an concurring opinion that Kennedy prayed “while at work but during a time when a brief lull in his duties apparently gave him a few free moments to engage in private activities.”

The Court’s majority opinion noted that Kennedy had “voluntarily discontinued the school tradition of locker-room prayers and his postgame religious talks to students,” and that the school district only took action against him “only for his decision to persist in praying quietly without his players after three games in October 2015.”

At the District’s request, he voluntarily discontinued the school tradition of locker-room prayers and his postgame religious talks to students. The District disciplined him only for his decision to persist in praying quietly without his players after three games in October 2015.”

A dissenting opinion from Justice Sonio Sotomayor, who was joined by Justices Elena Kagan and Stephen Breyer, claimed that the majority’s opinion “misconstrues the facts” of the case.

“The record reveals that Kennedy had a longstanding practice of conducting demonstrative prayers on the 50-yard line of the football field,” Sotomayor wrote. “Kennedy consistently invited others to join his prayers and for years led student athletes in prayer at the same time and location. The Court ignores this history.”

Sotomayor also pointed to claims that players had felt pressured to join Kennedy out of a desire to win favor and playing time. During oral arguments, Kennedy’s attorney addressed the assertion that Kennedy’ prayer had a coercive effect, noting that the school district did not bring it up as a reason for ending his employment.

High School Football Coach Joe Kennedy Touts SCOTUS Victory — ‘Every Single American Has Won with This’

June 27, 2022 by www.breitbart.com Leave a Comment

Monday on Newsmax TV’s “John Bachman Now,” high school football coach Joseph Kennedy reacted to the Supreme Court siding 6-3 in his favor for praying on the field after games.

Kennedy was fired from his role as varsity assistant coach at Bremerton High School and as the junior varsity head coach after he refused to quit praying on the 50-yard line following games.

Kennedy hailed the victory as an “elevation for all Americans in their freedom of religion” and their “freedom of speech.”

“My elevation is nothing. This is an elevation for all Americans in their freedom of religion and also in the freedom of speech,” Kennedy advised. “Nobody is any more important than anyone else. My rights are the same as everybody’s, and I was just exercising mine. So, I’m glad that the rest of the justices took a look at it, looked at the facts of the case, and realized this is not a big deal. This is a guy just being thankful after a football game.”

“I mean, everybody is blowing up my phone saying, ‘Hey, we won,’ because that’s what it was. We all won. Every single American has won with this. That’s why there won’t be any riots or anything like that or a protest because every American has the exact same rights, according to the First Amendment,” he concluded.

Manhattan Referendum To Build 4th School: IL Primary 2022

MANHATTAN, IL — Manhattan residents will be asked to vote on a proposed referendum for Manhattan School District 114 when they go to the polls for the June 28 primary election.

The referendum in questions asks Manhattan residents:

Shall the Board of Education of Manhattan School District Number 114, Will County, Illinois, improve the site of and build and equip a new school building and issue bonds of said School District to the amount of $85,000,000 for the purpose of paying the costs thereof?

Manhattan SD114 currently has three schools: Anna McDonald School, Wilson Creek School and Manhattan Junior High. The proposed fourth school would house junior high students, as well as allow for projected future growth, according to the district.

Here are some key questions and answers about the proposed referendum that Manhattan voters should be aware of when heading to the polls.

Why Do We Need A New School?

Manhattan SD114 has seen an increase of 596 students since 2010, according to data from the district. The total enrollment for 2022 was listed as 1,843, spread across the district’s three schools.

Enrollment at all three current schools is listed at around 50 to 75 students above capacity. The proposed fourth school would reduce the overcrowding at the three existing schools.

The district projects that, with a fourth school, the number of students at Wilson Creek would drop from 726 to 500, Anna McDonald would drop from 563 to 400 and the existing Manhattan Junior High would drop from 554 to 400. The proposed fourth school is projected to serve 570 students.

What Grades Would The New School Serve?

The proposed fourth school would serve students in sixth through eighth grade, according to the district.

Wilson Creek School would shift to serving students in Pre-K through first grade; Anna McDonald School would serve students in second and third grades; and the existing Manhattan Junior High would switch to serving students in fourth and fifth grades.

Where Would The New School Be Located?

The new school would be located along Smith Road, directly east of the current Manhattan Junior High School, according to the district.

That land is currently owned by the district, so no additional cost would be required to purchase land for the proposed school.

Will There Be an Increase In Taxes To Pay For The New School?

According to the district, no.

The Manhattan School District and Board of Education have pledged to maintain the current tax rate of $4.25. Any increase in the dollar amount to Manhattan homeowners’ taxes would only come from either: an increase in the tax rate from the other, separate taxing bodies; or an increase in the assessed value of the homeowner’s home.

The Illinois General Assembly approved the district to exceed the statutory limit on bonds, but the voters of the school district will have the final say whether to allow the district to sell the bonds, even without an increase in the tax rate, according to the district.

How Can The District Fund Building The Proposed School Without Raising Taxes?

The district currently makes a bond payment of close to $4,000,000 annually. It stated that it feels confident it can pay up to $4,500,000 in bond and interest. Based on a 1.5 percent growth rate and a bond payment of $4,500,000 over 30 years, the district could borrow up to $73,000,000 at the current tax rate of $4.25. The district said it can construct the new building within that amount.

The district said it does not plan to restructure the current bonds, which are scheduled to be paid off in June 2028. The new bonds would be structured so that the interest only would be paid during the first five years of the bonds until the 2004 and 2015 bonds expire, according to the district.

If, in the future, circumstances change, and it becomes difficult for the district to make the bond payment within the annual operating budget, the district would be able to “call or refund” the bonds, which is similar to refinancing the debt at possibly a lower rate or for an increased amount of time, according to the district.

How Long Will It Take To Build The New School?

If voters pass the referendum June 28, then the construction could begin by Aug. 1, according to the district. The district expects projected to take between 16 and 24 months. The new school would then be ready to open by August 2024.

What Happens If The Referendum Fails?

Essentially, the district would get a “do over” in November during the general election and try to persuade enough voters to change their minds.

If voters again reject the referendum in November, then the district would consider putting the referendum back on the ballot in 2024; however, the district said it would also need to look at reducing some programs at its schools in the interim, such as pre-K and some special education programs, at its schools because of limited space.
