14-Year-Old Expelled From School After Mom Complained About Gender Identity Questionnaire

August 10, 2022 by dailycaller.com Leave a Comment

A 14-year-old girl was expelled from a Florida school and transferred to another in January 2022 after her mother spoke out against a gender identity survey taken in school, according to a lawsuit filed by her parents.

Rebecca Yuengling’s daughter was allegedly removed from Cypress Creek High School in Pasco County School District and transferred to Sunlake High School in the Pasco County School District because Yuengling had complained to the school about a gender identity questionnaire given to the students, according to the Aug. 5 lawsuit. Rebecca and Richard Yuengling are suing the Pasco County school board, sheriff’s office, Sheriff Chris Nocco and Browning for allegedly punishing their daughter for Rebecca’s actions and not allowing the parents the opportunity to appeal the expulsion. The questionnaire, obtained by the Daily Caller News Foundation, asked students if they had a preferred name and what their pronouns were. The document also asked students if their teacher can use their preferred name and pronouns with “caregivers” and other teachers.

Rebecca Yuengling allegedly sent the district roughly 500 pages of emails, made phone calls, public statements and posted on social media about the questionnaire, according to the lawsuit. In an email to Yuengling obtained by the DCNF, Superintendent Kurt Browning alleged that because of Yuengling’s behavior, one teacher decided to take leave and not return to the district.

At a Aug. 8 hearing, Judge Mary Scriven ruled that the Yuenglings’ daughter was not given due process and could return to Cypress Creek High School after being transferred, attorney Jonathan O’Brien told the Daily Caller News Foundation.

“At the hearing the decision was made to allow the kid to go back to school because there was no due process,” O’Brien told the DCNF. “The superintendent committed two constitutional violations. One, he retaliated against the mother by going after the kid and removing her from their school. That’s free speech retaliation. Then number two, when the father asked for an appeal, the superintendent incorrectly and illegally said my decision is, quote, final and non appealable, which is in our papers and it’s exhibited. That also turned out to be false. So the kid is back in school today.”

Browning characterized Yuengling’s emails as “not only harassing in nature to administration staff but also disruptive to the learning environment,” and was the cause of her daughter being transferred out of the school district.

Yuengling told the DCNF that the expulsion negatively affected her daughter as she was forced to change schools.

“She said to me that she felt like she got taken from her home and her family and moved to a strange place,” Yuengling said. “She knew the one over there. It’s not like the family moves or you change houses and you expect to go to a new school. She didn’t have any of that warning. It was just a letter. I’m sure she’ll say was the roughest patch of her life. For me as her mother it was definitely the most worried I’ve ever been.”

Pasco County School District declined the DCNF’s request for comment.

Richard Yuengling was demoted and placed under investigation by the Pasco County Sheriff’s Department where he worked, according to the lawsuit states. Yuengling was allegedly placed under investigation because he allegedly filed a court injunction against the school while “wearing his uniform.”

“Not only did the school district go after the kids, they went after the father,” O’Brien told the DCNF. “We need to get to the bottom of the extent to which the sheriff’s office colluded with the school district to take out the father essentially who was a sheriff’s deputy.”

Richard Yuengling chose to resign from the sheriff’s department to allegedly avoid “additional adverse consequences and unfounded disciplinary complaints that could have placed his pension in jeopardy,” the lawsuit said.

“My intention was to just help my daughter. It’s not like I’m trying to hide anything we’re doing. I let people know I’m trying to help my daughter here,” Richard Yuengling told the DCNF.

Pasco County Sheriff’s Department, Browning and Nocco did not immediately respond to the DCNF’s request for comment.

Boston Children’s Hospital Touts ‘Gender-Affirming’ Hysterectomies for Adolescents

August 11, 2022 by www.breitbart.com Leave a Comment

Boston Children’s Hospital offers what it describes as a “full suite of surgical options for transgender teens and young adults,” sharing a video earlier this year proudly detailing what a “gender-affirming” hysterectomy entails.

An April video posted to the Boston Children’s Hospital’s YouTube channel features attending physician Frances Grimstad, MD, MS, Division of Gynecology, detailing what she described as a “gender-affirming” hysterectomy, which the hospital is evidently open to performing on minors.

“A gender-affirming hysterectomy is very similar to most hysterectomies that occur. Hysterectomy itself is the removal of the uterus, the cervix — which is the opening of the uterus — and the fallopian tubes, which are attached to the sides of the uterus,” Grimstad said in the video.

“Some gender-affirming hysterectomies will also include the removal of the ovaries, but that’s technically a separate procedure called a bilateral oophorectomy, and not every gender-affirming hysterectomy includes that, and people who are getting gender-affirming hysterectomies do not have to have their ovaries removed,” she added.

Upon further review, it appears Boston Children’s Hospital prides itself on offering what it describes as an “LGBTQ affirming environment” for patients, expressing commitment to “providing comprehensive and affirming treatment to our lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) patients and families.”

Further, the hospital’s website features a section devoted to its Center for Gender Surgery for children which offers “gender affirmation surgery services” for “eligible adolescents and young adults.” The hospital touts the surgery center as the “first center of its kind in the U.S. in a major pediatric hospital setting.”

“As the first pediatric center in the country dedicated to the surgical care of transgender patients, we take an interdisciplinary approach from the start to ensure exceptional patient care,” the hospital states, bragging of its team of specialists who “collaborate to provide a full suite of surgical options for transgender teens and young adults.” The hospital appears to be particularly proud of its anesthesia team, which it says provides “culturally sensitive care to the gender-diverse community.”

According to the website, the surgery center offers a range of “gender-affirming” surgeries to adolescents, including chest reconstructions, breast augmentations, facial harmonizations, vaginoplasties, metoidioplasties, phalloplasties, “and other gender affirmation surgeries to eligible patients.”

While the hospital states that it follows World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH) guidelines to treat individuals who are proven to be “stable” in their chosen gender,  it adds that one does not need be a Gender Management Servie (GeMS) patient to have surgery at the hospital’s Center for Gender Surgery.

“Founded in 2007,” the hospital’s site explains, “GeMS was the first major program in the U.S. to focus on treating gender-expansive and transgender adolescents. Since that time, we have expanded our program to welcome patients from ages 3 to 25.”

The willingness to surgically address a child’s gender dysmorphia is controversial nationwide as the radical left continues to push woke gender ideology on children in classrooms. Florida is among the states that has openly challenged the “science” of transgenderism. With the consultation of experts, a 45-page report from Florida Medicaid “concludes that sex reassignment surgeries, puberty blockers, and cross sex hormone treatments for people with gender dysphoria are not proven as ‘safe or effective’ treatments and are ‘experimental and investigational,’” as Breitbart News detailed .

“Studies presenting the benefits to mental health, including those claiming that the services prevent suicide, are either low or very low quality and rely on unreliable methods such as surveys and retrospective analyses, both of which are cross-sectional and highly biased,” the document reads.

Breitbart News’s Katherine Hamilton explained:

According to the report, Medicaid has a rule which mandates that sex reassignment treatments, as a condition of coverage, must be “consistent with generally accepted professional medical standards (GAPMS) and not experimental or investigational.” Overall, the document concludes that existing studies do not provide enough solid research to substantiate these treatments,  despite endorsements from large clinical organizations.

Texas officials tried to take action earlier this year, as Gov. Greg Abbott (R) directed state agencies to investigate instances of transgender procedures done on children as child abuse, prompting backlash from the radical left.

Breitbart News reached out to Boston Children’s Hospital, asking how it justifies performing such procedures on adolescents given the mounting criticisms that they are not fundamentally based in science and actually hurt children. Breitbart News also asked how many “gender-affirming” surgeries the hospital performed on children in the last year but received no response to either inquiry.

This report follows the continuing trend of radical leftists sexualizing children, including teaching them to pole dance at pride events and celebrating their “coming out” as the opposite gender at pride festivals, as recently occurred at the Vancouver Pride Parade.

Infamous British Gender Clinic Will Be Sued By 1,000 Families: Report | The Daily Wire

August 11, 2022 by www.dailywire.com Leave a Comment

On the heels of the ordered closure of the infamous Tavistock gender clinic in London, which offered “gender-affirming care” and puberty blockers to thousands of children over the years, news has broken that roughly 1,000 families will file a medical negligence lawsuit against the clinic.

The suit targets the gender identity development service [GIDS] at the Tavistock and Portman NHS Trust, charging they recklessly doled out puberty blockers with harmful side effects.

“Children and young adolescents were rushed into treatment without the appropriate therapy and involvement of the right clinicians, meaning that they were misdiagnosed and started on a treatment pathway that was not right for them,” Tom Goodhead, chief executive of the law firm Pogust Goodhead, which has taken the case, told the Times.

“These children have suffered life-changing and, in some cases, irreversible effects of the treatment they received,” he continued. “We anticipate that at least 1,000 clients will join this action.”

In December 2020, the British High Court ruled in favor of Keira Bell, who had sued the clinic claiming it had failed to carry out a proper psychiatric assessment before giving puberty blockers to her when she was 16. She was injected with testosterone when she was 17 and underwent a double mastectomy when she was 20.

The court stated it was doubtful teens aged 14 or 15 could understand the “long-term risks and consequences” of taking puberty blockers and hormone therapies. The Court of Appeal later overturned the ruling.

The lawsuit from the roughly 1,000 families will be buttressed by a report from Dr. Hilary Cass, a former president of the Royal College of Pediatrics and Child Health, who was hired by NHS England to investigate the clinic.

Cass has alleged that the clinic, which has treated a reported 19,000 children for gender dysphoria since 1989, refused to collect data on the use or side effects of puberty blockers. She asked if brain development was “temporarily or permanently disrupted by puberty-blockers.”

She continued, “Because the specialist service has evolved rapidly and organically in response to demand, the clinical approach and overall service design has not been subjected to some of the normal quality controls that are typically applied when new or innovative treatments are introduced.”

“A fundamentally different service model is needed which is more in line with other pediatric provision, to provide timely and appropriate care for children and young people needing support around their gender identity,” she ended her review. “This must include support for any other clinical presentations that they may have.”

A GIDS spokesperson commented, “GIDS has not heard from Pogust Goodhead about this matter, but it would be inappropriate to comment on any current or potential legal proceeding. The service is committed to patient safety. It works with every young person on a case-by-case basis, with no expectation of what might be the right pathway for them, and only the minority of young people who are seen in our service access any physical treatments while with us.”

1,000 Families To Sue World’s Largest Pediatric Gender Clinic, Lawyer Says

August 11, 2022 by dailycaller.com Leave a Comment

The Gender Identity Development Service (GIDS) at Tavistock, the largest pediatric gender clinic in the world, will be sued by about 1,000 families of children who were allegedly rushed onto puberty blockers at the U.K.-based clinic, attorneys told The Times.

The class action medical negligence lawsuit accuses the Tavistock and Portman NHS Trust in the U.K. of recklessly prescribing puberty blockers with harmful side effects and unquestioningly affirming the gender identities of children with inadequate analysis of mental health, according to The Times. The suit comes after an independent review of GIDS found the facility to be unsafe for children and the National Health Service announced it would shut the clinic down by 2023 and replace it with more holistic, mental health-centered facilities.

“These children have suffered life-changing and, in some cases, irreversible effects of the treatment they received which has resulted in long-term physical and psychological consequences for them,” Tom Goodhead, CEO of the law firm bringing the suit, said in a statement shared with the Daily Caller News Foundation. “We must not shut down debate on account of a fear of discussing gender identity, and those responsible must be held accountable.”

— Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust (@TaviAndPort) July 28, 2022

The gender clinic has received about 19,000 referrals since 2010, about 1,000 of whom were referred to endocrinology teams where they could access puberty blockers, a spokesman told the DCNF. Patients had 10 appointments on average before being referred to endocrinologists, and children as young as 10 were referred for puberty blocker assessments. (RELATED: Trans Activists Were Basically Running UK’s ‘Gender Clinic’ Before The Government Shut It Down, Former Employee Says)

“The service is committed to patient safety,” a Tavistock spokesman told the DCNF. “It works with every young person on a case-by-case basis, with no expectation of what might be the right pathway for them, and only the minority of young people who are seen in our service access any physical treatments while with us.”

He said it was unclear how attorneys had arrived at the number 1,000 for the lawsuit.

“Blocking the sexual development of children is a highly authoritarian intervention. Children are asexual, and so they can’t understand the impact of impaired sexual functioning,” Stella O’Malley, Irish psychotherapist and founder of the gender-critical organization Genspect, told the DCNF.

“We are roughly 10 years into this large-scale experiment and already we have reports on issues with cognitive development, bone mineral density, and fertility,” she said. “All the up-to-date evidence shows that puberty blockers are neither safe nor reversible.”

Tram Tau highlands promoting cultural identity of Mong ethnic group

August 11, 2022 by en.vietnamplus.vn Leave a Comment

In her leisure time, Phàng Thị Khua from Tà Xùa hamlet in Bản Công commune often sits next to her family’s loom to weave brocade. The fabric is made from linseed, spun to make clothing for both Mong men and women.

The Mong people believe that regardless of gender or age, they must wear such clothing when they are buried. Therefore, from a young age, Mong women are taught how to weave by their mothers and grandmothers.

On normal days or holidays, Mong ethnic women are proud to wear their traditional outfits.

In Tram Tau district are teams making dresses to meet individuals needs or perhaps as gifts for family members getting married.

All Mong ethnic women, therefore, know how to make skirts and embroider dresses.

The outfits of the Mong ethnic minority in Tram Tau district are distinguished by the patterns, which feature scenes of nature and life. The main colour is red, which symbolises warmth and fullness and a desire to have a better life.

Over time, the ability to make outfits has become not so common among Mong ethnic women, but there are still ready-made outfits for women to embroider or decorate in their favourite patterns. This is not to say, however, that the basic features of outfits worn by Mong ethnic women in the past have been lost.

The Mong ethnic people in Tram Tau make up the majority of the district’s population, so local authorities are keen to preserve their cultural identity./
