A CLEANING fan, known as The Queen of Clean, has revealed the quick and cheap hack that she swears by to get her home sparkling.

From banishing stubborn tea stains in mugs to removing limescale in her loo , Lynsey Crombie explained that she often uses an 80p bargain buy from Tesco .

Posting on TikTok under the username @ lynsey_queenofclean , Lynsey explained her clever tip and noted that she uses denture tablets all around her home.

The cleaning whizz explained: “Denture tablets have so many wonderful uses.

“Known to be used to clean grime off of dentures to keep them sparkling clean, but they can also be an inexpensive and eco way to clean your home.

“They contain bicarbonate of soda, and citric acid which means they can disinfect, whiten, and remove stains easily!

“I have popped a few uses here, but there are so many more, including popping in the washing machine.”

In the clip, Lynsey demonstrated the “fabulous uses for denture tablets.”

First of all, she explained that she uses the tablets to soak and clean her dish cloths, as she filled up a bucket with water and placed the tablet and her cloths in.

Next , she noted that she also uses the tablets to remove stains from mugs.

To demonstrate, Lynsey got a dirty mug, filled it with boiling water, dropped a tablet in and watched it bubble.

Rather than spending ages scrubbing away at the mug, Lynsey then emptied the water, showing off how clean it now was.

As well as this, she also uses the tablets to clean up sink drains and to wash dirty dishes – as she simply added water with the tablet and let it get to work.

Not only this, but she also claimed that she puts a tablet in a vase of flowers to keep them looking fresh for longer and also drops one in her loo to remove watermarks and limescale from toilets.

Lynsey’s clip has clearly impressed many, as it has quickly amassed over 20,000 views, 267 likes, 60 saves and 13 shares.

Many social media users were grateful for the tips and took to the comments to express this.

One person said: “Thank you.”

Another added: “Because they contain mild bleach.”

Whilst a third commented: “Bleach does the same thing.”

Keeping your washing machine well maintained is an important job as the damp environment can be a breeding ground for pesky issues like mould.

But cleaning the appliance can be a tricky task, especially when it comes to tackling washing machine drawers as they are fiddly to scrub for a sparkling finish.

Thankfully, one woman has found a savvy trick to making sure this little drawer remains clean all the time and has amazed fellow cleaning buffs with the discovery.

The cleaning fanatic, whose name is Faith, never knew she could remove the drawer so it could be cleaned separately.

She only found this out when she noticed it had a button to push down so it could be removed.

Noticing the compartment was looking rather grimy, Faith set about cleaning it using a simple yet effective combination of warm washing up liquid water, a toothbrush, and a cloth.

After “a lot of scrubbing”, Faith was able to get her washing machine drawer sparkling once more, and many have been impressed by the satisfying results.

Taking to the Facebook group Cleaning tips and tricks with before and after pictures of her drawer, an incredulous Faith wrote: “How on earth did I not know this drawer came out?!

“I’m not officially an adult and love cleaning haha! Thank you everyone for your cleaning tips and tricks”.

Many other members were similarly amazed by the apparently little-known hack, having also had no idea whatsoever that the drawer could be removed and scrubbed separately in this way.

One astounded woman wrote: “They say you learn something every day. Well, today I learned this thank you”.

Another gasped: “I not know of this trickery either!”

Offering help to those who weren’t sure how to get their own drawers to budge, various members who’ve tried this hack before advised to press down in the middle of the drawer, right where the fabric softener is poured, before giving it a gentle pull.

Rob, 59, and Chad, 55, were seen smiling at the camera while side-by-side as the post was captioned, ‘We clean up nice.’

Both Rob and Chad are actors.

Rob came to fame as a Brat Packer in the 1980s with St Elmo’s Fire and About Last night while Chad earned raves for his TV series Life Goes On which aired from 1989 until 1993.

In March Chad posed with his 13-year-old daughter Mabel Painter Lowe whose mother is Chad’s wife Kim Painter.

Chad has been a staple in Hollywood for decades.

Chad was in 1991’s Highway To Hell, 2006’s Beautiful Ohio and the Hailey Dean Mystery from 2016 until 2019.

And he even worked on Melrose Place in the role of Carter Gallavan, a computer software billionaire.

Chad was wed to Hilary Swank from 1997 until 2007; she won her Oscars for the films Boys Don’t Cry in 1999 and for Million Dollar Baby in 2004.

And she continues to be an A list star – the actress, who is pregnant with twins, is now on the show Alaska Daily.

Mom Kim has also worked in Hollywood, but as a crew member. Her credits included Enemy Of The State, Ted Bundy, and Instant Dads.

Mabel’s uncle is an internationally famous person – he is film and TV star Rob Lowe.

Rob was a BratPacker who starred in the 80s classics The Outsiders (1983), Oxford Blues (1984) and St Elmo’s Fore (1985).

He has also starred in West Wing from 1999 until 2006, and then Parks And Recreation from 2009 to 2015. His latest hit is 9-1-1 Lone Star which has been on the air since 2020.

Mabel has two younger sisters, Fiona Hepler Lowe, born in 2012, and Nixie Barbara Lowe, born on in 2016.

They were seen at the premiere of Netflix’s Unstable at the TUDUM Theater on Thursday in Hollywood, California.

Rob was seen with his wife of over 30 years, Sheryl Berkoff, 61, as they posed alongside their two handsome sons at the premiere of Unstable.

The star showed off his chiseled good looks in a navy blue suit over a navy shirt with a herringbone pattern and styled his short brown hair spiked and messy.

Sheryl wore a long-sleeve black turtleneck with a cream skirt and styled her long blonde hair in flowing waves with a center part.

The veteran actor’s latest project is a family affair, as he teamed up with his youngest son John Owen Lowe, 28, for a new Netflix comedy series they co-created together.

Both Rob and John Owen star in the series and serve as executive producers on the project.

The father-son duo co-created the 10-episode comedy series alongside Santa Monica Diet creator Victor Fresco, who also serves as executive producer.

‘I never thought I would see my son and I co-creating a TV series and anybody out there who gets to work with their kids knows what a gift that is. It’s a whole other layer of your relationship,’ The Pentaverate actor told Parade in October.

Rob plays Ellis, the ‘wildly eccentric’ CFO of a biotech research company, and Johnny plays his son Jackson who goes to work for him.

The plot will follow John’s character, the ‘socially-challenged son’ who goes to work with his father ‘to save himself from disaster.’

SNL alum Fred Armisen has a supporting role in the Jay Chandrasekhar-helmed series as Leslie, Ellis’ board-appointed therapist who is desperate to be liked.

‘We are very excited to be working with Victor, Rob, and John Owen,” said Netflix Head of Comedy Tracey Pakosta.

‘The three of them – and their wildly funny, smart sensibilities – are a perfect fit for our growing slate of scripted comedies,’ Pakosta added.

John Owen had previously starred alongside his father on Fox’s The Grinder and the 2019 Netflix film Holiday in the Wild.

John Owen currently serves as a writer and story editor on his father’s Fox series 9-1-1: Lone Star, which is airing its fourth season.

Rob’s most recent Netflix film, Dog Gone, is based on a true story of a father and son who repair their fractured relationship during a forced hike on the Appalachian trail to find their beloved lost dog.

“At the first sign of trouble you can’t run away from it, or at the first sign of all the eyeballs in the world watching you, you can’t run away from what’s been most successful for you.

“That’s when you should be at your clearest, keep things as simple as possible and that will be the message right throughout.”

Former New Zealand wicket-keeper McCullum is no stranger to battles with Australia, but modestly and perhaps unfairly suggested he was only good enough to scrap against teams wearing the baggy greens.

That is not the case for his England side, the 41-year-old insists.

“I’m not as good as these guys are, so you always felt like you were scrapping for something rather than being able to go toe to toe with them (Australia),” McCullum added.

“The ability to go toe-to-toe with a good side is where the magic happens.

“I think we’ve got the quality in our team and they’ve got the quality in their team to be a heavyweight contest so I’m excited about that.

“There’s so much excitement about what’s coming and there’s so much uncertainty for everyone and that’s where I think the real magic has the opportunity to come out. so we’re just excited about it.”

England’s ‘Bazball’ approach has been heavily debated since it arrived on the scene and at its height, Stokes’ side were scoring at 5.50 runs per over in Pakistan during the winter.

Whether or not that can be replicated remains to be seen, but McCullum does feel they should only get more consistent with time.

“To be fair, there’s some stuff we did last year that I didn’t really think was achievable but the guys were able to do it,” he admitted.

“If you are present and clear of mind, you’re able to make good decisions because you’re not worried about the outcome as such, you’re just able to adapt to what’s required.

“There will be periods where we’ll have to absorb pressure. It may also be that we’ll be able to put the handle down a bit more and achieve what we did last summer. We’ll just wait and see.”

A key part of England’s philosophy is a relaxed environment and spending quality time together, which occurred on Sunday when the team linked up for the first time – since the New Zealand series in February – for a round of golf at the Grove in Hertfordshire.

After facing Ireland this week, England will have 11 days before the Ashes opener at Edgbaston on June 16, but that will not be spent exclusively together, with a mixture of days off, training and some “quality time” arranged before the battle for the urn begins.

McCullum stated: “I think it’s a good build-up, I think it’s perfect.”

One man not set to be involved is Ben Foakes after he was left out of the Ireland Test in favour of the fit-again Jonny Bairstow, who will don the gloves and try to replicate his stunning 2022 form where he hit six hundreds.

“Well, I mean he’s an incredible player,” McCullum said of Bairstow.

“He’s a rare commodity and he’s able to do some things that other people just can’t.

“I think if he’s able to recapture even a glimpse of the form which he showed last summer, then our side does look really, really strong.”
