Manchester United star Luke Shaw has ended fears he could miss the FA Cup final after returning to training following his substitution against Chelsea on Thursday.
Manchester United news, exclusives and analysis
The left-back came off at half-time in the 4-1 win against the Blues at Old Trafford, which confirmed United’s Champions League spot.
Shaw’s been in sensational form for the Red Devils this term, excelling at left-back and at centre-back.
Erik ten Hag was unwilling to give an update on Shaw’s injury following the win on Thursday, saying the club needed 24 hours to make an assessment.
But in pictures released by the club from a training session on Friday, Shaw was able to fully participate with his team-mates.
It means he could feature against Fulham as United look to seal third spot in the Premier League on Sunday.
But the better news is Shaw is therefore likely to be fit for next weekend’s FA Cup final against Manchester City at Wembley.
United are looking to win their second trophy of the season but there’s an added incentive in that they could stop City from winning the treble by beating them at Wembley.
