Fintech startup Cred has entered the vehicle management space and launched a new platform, called Garage , through which it will seek to help users renew their car insurance , and recharge FASTags, among other activities.

Through Garage, Cred is looking to offer users a single dashboard that will allow them to access a round-the-clock concierge service for roadside assistance, help them manage documentation, including their driver’s licence and registration certificate. “As expected from Cred, members will also enjoy rewards, offers, and deals across transactions. Members can also renew motor insurance (through the platform) and get member-exclusive perks,” the company said in a press statement.

Today, Cred already acts as a credit distribution platform for its lending partners and hinges its differentiation on high credit score customers.

Taking on Park+

It will also be taking the fight to Peak XV and Matrix-backed Park+, as the fintech looks to provide granular data on parked cars in an easy-to-read dashboard.

Further, Cred has been pushing to ensure stickiness on its platform, diversifying from just offering credit card bill payments, and has launched newer features such as the Unified Payments Interface (UPI) on its platform in recent months. Garage is another effort by the company to boost user stickiness as it looks to offer new financial products to its user base.

Cred did not directly respond to ET’s queries around its car insurance distribution plans.

“While cars are an emotional asset for Indians, ownership is complex, time-consuming, and high-friction, with a number of tasks that need to be addressed regularly, such as paying challans, renewing insurance, and getting the car serviced,” the company said in response to ET’s queries. “There is a significant overlap between unique credit card holders and car owners—both belonging to the top 10% of high-spending individuals with higher disposable income.”

The Garage platform will have DigiLocker integration, which will allow users to access essential documents such as their driver’s licence, registration certificate, and insurance papers.

The platform is also expected to provide reminders to users for essential tasks such as pollution checks, emission tests, and insurance renewals to ensure their vehicle stays in mint condition.

Cred will roll out Garage to its entire user base starting Thursday. The service will be housed on its main app.

X CEO Says Platform Will Be Profitable By Early 2024—But Dodges Questions About Musk’s Monthly Fee

September 28, 2023 by www.forbes.com Leave a Comment

Topline

X CEO Linda Yaccarino said Wednesday the social media platform formerly known as Twitter will be profitable by early 2024, claiming most top advertisers had returned after ditching the platform following Elon Musk’s takeover last year.

Key Facts

Speaking at Vox Media’s Code Conference, Yaccarino said 90% of the platform’s top 100 advertisers have returned and 1,500 have done so “in the last twelve weeks alone.”

The X CEO said the company is “just about break even” and “it looks like” it will begin turning a profit in early 2024.

Yaccarino tried to dodge a question about Musk’s plans to charge a fee to all users for accessing the platform, by responding: “Did he say we were moving to it specifically, or he’s thinking about it?”

The interviewer, CNBC’s Julia Boorstin, noted that Musk mentioned that was the plan and asked Yaccarino if she was consulted on the decision, who responded: “We talk about everything.”

Yaccarino claimed the platform has 200 million to 250 million daily active users or “something like that,” before later saying X has 540 million monthly active users and 225 million daily active users, according to the Verge.

Yaccarino was largely dismissive of the concerns raised by X’s former head of safety Yoel Roth—who spoke before her at the event—saying the platform was “operating on a different set of rules” that bordered on censorship and X was very different.

Crucial Quote

Yaccarino repeatedly defended Musk during the interview and at one point reportedly asked the audience: “Who wouldn’t want Elon Musk sitting by their side running product?” Yaccarino also said the idea that Musk was opposed to debate or feedback is something “I haven’t experienced or I’ll say I haven’t experienced it yet.”

Chief Critic

Roth reportedly warned Yaccarino at the event: “Look at what your boss did to me…I hope she is thinking about what those risks are and what she might face,” referring to death threats he and his family faced after Musk tried to falsely insinuate that Roth was supportive of pedophilia.

Key Background

Despite Yaccarino’s optimism about Twitter’s prospects, recent comments by Musk paint a much grimmer picture as he tried to blame the Anti-Defamation League’s complaints for causing a 60% drop in ad revenue for X. After receiving widespread backlash for his comments and continued concerns about growing antisemitism on the platform, Musk sat down with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for an interview earlier this month. In that conversation, Musk blamed a majority of X’s problems on bots and said the platform is “moving to a small monthly payment” model where all users will have to pay to access the platform. As with Musk’s other sweeping proclamations about altering the platform, it was unclear if he was being serious or when a change might happen.

The DSI’s Technology and Information Case Department initiated the proceedings yesterday. The defendant in question had been found in possession of explicit child material, which was then advertised for sale on the Line platform.

This case follows an incident on August 14, where the Child Sexual Exploitation Crime Center (CSECC), led by Yotsan Rungsrangamsiri, Deputy Director of the Technology and Information Case Department, raided and arrested a 19 year old Thai male student from a university in Pathum Thani.

The DSI is continuing to extend its investigations. The public is warned that the possession of explicit child content for one’s own or others’ sexual gratification is punishable by imprisonment for a term of 5-7 years or a fine of up to 140,000 baht.

If the possession is for commercial purposes or for distribution, the punishment is 3-10 years of imprisonment or a fine of 60,000-200,000 baht under the Thai Penal Code, Articles 287/1 and 287/2.

How To Build A Trading Platform That Will Cover Users’ Needs?

September 28, 2023 by dailycaller.com Leave a Comment

The options you have when looking for a Forex broker accepting U.S. traders are not limited. You can find various platforms ready to offer you some cool forex trading features that will improve your experience. But perhaps you are not pleased with the current state of the U.S. forex trading options and you’re thinking of creating one yourself.

Creating your own trading platform can be a wonderful business idea, but it’s not that easy to end up with a product that the public likes. So, how can you create a platform that will cover the needs of all users? Here’s everything you need to know.

  • Make Sure the Dashboard Is User-Friendly

The dashboard is the thing your users will see when they open the trading platform. Ideally, this should be eye-catching, user-friendly, and easy to use. The dashboard will feature all the instruments that your clients can use during their trading activities.

There are many things that should appear on the dashboard, but the main things you should not forget about include owned stocks, account balances, real-time charts, held stock prices, and market analysis reports.

Moreover, you should not clutter the dashboard with too many options, but it’s essential for users to be able to find all the features they want more quickly. You can find other ways to include secondary features.

  • The Payments Should Be Secured

No user wants to endanger their funds. Since people will have to make payments using the trading platform, it’s your responsibility as the creator to add secured payment methods to the software.

That being said, you should integrate safe payments that protect the details and money of the traders. For example, Stripe is one of these options.

  • Consider Legalities

Now, in order for your trading platform to be safe and trustworthy, it must also comply with the law. This shouldn’t come as a surprise if you are experienced in the brokerage market. But if you are just getting started with this, you need to know what to pay attention to on the legal side of things.

First things first, you need to make sure the platform is regulated. In the U.S., it’s the Securities and Exchange Commission that is taking care of such businesses. Aside from this, you will also want to make sure that your trading platform is licensed. You need to obtain a license to operate in all the countries you want the platform to be available in.

On top of not getting in trouble with the law, this aspect will also make your trading platform a more attractive option for potential clients.

  • Make Sure the Trading Aspect Is Functional

Another thing you must consider is the trading functionality. People are using the program in order to trade currencies or stocks , so it is essential to make the platform as functional as possible.

You can do this in a few ways. For instance, you should make sure the app is updated in real time and that it provides users with graphics that contain trade information. It would also be useful to give clients information and elements that will aid them when they need to make trading decisions.

  • Ensure That Your Clients Feel Safe

All your visitors must feel safe when they are using your platform. In order to make this possible, you should be able to provide your users with the necessary financial information and confidentiality.

When the user registers on the trading platform, they should have peace of mind that all the data is safe and will remain private.

  • Make It Optimized for Mobile Use

Let’s be honest, nobody would want to stay glued to their computer to be able to do something nowadays. With smartphones being so widespread, people prefer to trade on the go. A mobile-optimized platform would give them the opportunity to trade while traveling or while they are on their work break.

To develop an effective mobile-optimized trading platform, you must find a signal provider and ensure the app runs smoothly on mobile.

The Bottom Line

Building a good trading platform that meets the needs of the users is a great way to attract more customers and also build a loyal fan base. It takes time to develop a website that looks good and offers high-quality services, but it’s not impossible. Make sure you consider the tips and tricks listed here and you will be able to come up with a top and useful platform.
