Disney animation “Frozen” has attracted six million spectators in just 18 days since its release in Korea. As of Sunday, the animation had deposed “Kung Fu Panda II” as the biggest animation box office hit here.

“Kung Fu Panda II” drew 5.06 million viewers in 2011.

“Frozen” is a musical animation loosely based on Hans Christian Andersen’s “Snow Queen.”

The combination of fairy tale princesses and music appeals especially to people in their 30s, especially women who feel nostalgic about Disney animations of the 1990s like “Little Mermaid,” “Beauty and the Beast,” “Aladin,” and “Lion King.”

According to ticketing site MaxMovie, 47 percent of the people who booked “Frozen” were in their 30s.

As the Disney animation “Frozen” has attracted nearly 8 million viewers in Korea since it was released here in the middle of last month, Park Ji-yoon, who lent her voice to the lead character in the dubbed version of the film, has risen from obscurity to portal-search prominence.

The comedy-adventure about a girl’s quest to save her kingdom from her sister’s icy spell set a box-office record for an animation film and is still seeing viewers at local theaters. The previous record was held by “Kung Fu Panda II,” which drew 5.06 million viewers in 2011.

Another unusual trend of its popularity here is that over 40 percent of moviegoers opted to watch the version dubbed into Korean.

“Since I’ve only been performing behind the scenes as a voice-over actress, it feels great to receive this sudden attention,” said Park.

Park had to pass a voice test for the role as well as a singing audition. Although Disney is notorious for its tough casting calls, it gave Park the green light as soon as it heard her sing.

Park said she long dreamed of becoming a musical actress but struggled with her nerves in front of live audiences.

After exploring several different avenues, she developed an interest in voice acting. “I thought this would be perfect for

However, Park said she is enjoying all the attention she is receiving after 10 years in the business, and jokingly added that she hopes to make her husband — another voice actor — jealous of her growing fame.

Woman ‘screamed’ as Lady Gaga’s dog walker Ryan Fischer was shot four times & pups stolen, frantic 911 caller claimed

February 25, 2021 by www.thesun.co.uk Leave a Comment

LADY Gaga’s dog walker Ryan Fischer was shot four times and her pups were stolen, as a chilling 911 call revealed a woman “screamed” during the shocking incident.

Ryan Fischer was walking Lady Gaga ’s dogs, Koji, Miss Asia and Gustavo , at 9:40pm on Wednesday when he was shot .

A series of 911 dispatch calls exclusively obtained by The Sun reveal several calls were made to the Los Angeles Police Department regarding the shooting.

One dispatcher said: “Shooting N Sierra Bonita. One victim down. Stand by for additional.”

Another dispatcher said moments later that a “shooting just occurred” at the location with “one gunshot and a female screaming.”

In another call, the operator noted a “possible a white four-door Cadillac” with shots fired “possibly into” an address on N Sierra Bonita.

Another dispatch call revealed: “Suspect last seen heading towards Hollywood Blvd in a white Nissan. One victim down.”

The vehicle could’ve been a “white Mercedes,” another call revealed.

Public Information Officer Jeff Lee from the LAPD told The Sun: “We had a shooting that took place at 1500 block of N Sierra Bonita Avenue at 9:40pm.

“Male unknown suspect fired a gunshot. Victim was male white 30 years of age. Victim was transported to local hospital in unknown condition.

“Two french bulldogs were taken. No arrests made yet.”

Ryan was reportedly shot outside of his West Hollywood home on Sierra Bonita.

When cops got to the scene, they found the dog walker conscious, but barely breathing, and was transported to hospital in “grave” condition, TMZ reported.

Both Koji and Gustavo were reportedly stolen, according to the outlet, but Miss Asia got away and was later recovered by cops.

Pictures show Miss Asia was then picked up by one of Gaga’s bodyguards.

Cops described the suspects to TMZ as two black males wearing baseball caps.

Law enforcement officials told the outlet that they are not sure if Gaga’s dogs were specifically the target.

In photos obtained by The Sun, blood appeared to be at the scene as police taped off the area.

Lady Gaga , 34, was spotted in Rome, Italy just yesterday.
