Fitness star fakes ‘instant Brazillian Butt Lift’ with clever shorts hack

June 8, 2023 by www.dailystar.co.uk Leave a Comment

A fitness influencer shared her secret to making her bum look like she’s had a Brazillian Butt Lift – without the need for surgery.

Megan Marsh, who posts on social media under the username @fitwithmeg , shared a video of her simple trick while posing in front of a full-length mirror in her bedroom.

The stunning athlete, who models sportswear for Abyl, donned a black sports bra and long pair of shorts from the brand to demonstrate the simple illusion.

In the video, which has gained more than 13,500 likes, she pulled at each leg of the shorts so they were rouched under each cheek.

She then pulled them up at the back – until she’d given herself a wedgie that created the illusion of a bigger bum.

Over the top of the clip, she wrote: “Buying the long gym shorts so you can do the ‘shorts trick’ to give yourself the most insane BBL.”

Captioning the clip, she wrote: “Gym girl hacks 101.”

TikTok viewers were in awe of the results – as they took to the comments claiming they were going to try it for themselves.

One user said: “Thiss!! Rather than already shorts.”

Another commented: “The bra on you holy moly.”

However, some didn’t like that it left their thighs on display as one user penned: “My thighs be on the loose then.”

Another joked: “BBL or wedgie?”

“Bestie, is that uncomfortable?” a third asked.

To which, she replied: “No, not at all!”

A fourth user asked: “How does it not give you camel toe! It never works for me.”

Megan recommends using shorts that are seamless to prevent an awkward front wedgie from happening – so would you try it?

Blizzard’s paying Megan Fox to eulogise Diablo 4 deaths in a corset

June 7, 2023 by www.pcgamer.com Leave a Comment

“If there’s one thing I love,” says Hollywood actor Megan Fox, “it’s the sight of blood.” Hold on a second, what channel is this?

Yes, Blizzard has paid a large sum of money for what is in effect a high-profile Cameo, whereby some nerd’s unremarkable demise in Diablo 4 will be air quotes immortalised by Megan Fox in an extremely skimpy outfit. If you think that games have suddenly gone back to 1980s style marketing stunts, yuh huh!

#DiabloIV is here, embrace the bloodshed.Share videos of your in-game death on Twitter or TikTok using #DiabloDeaths for a chance to have your eulogy read by @meganfox on June 8th. pic.twitter.com/dSgG2yuNbS June 6, 2023

In Blizzard’s advert Fox goes on to unconvincingly detail how much she loves blood and guts. “In Diablo 4 there are rivers of [blood]… show me your worst in-game death with hashtag Diablo Deaths, and you might get a eulogy from yours truly telling the world you went out like a hero… or a chump.”

I guess the funniest thing about this is that dying in Diablo is nothing special. This isn’t like Dead Space or the Callisto Protocol, where failure sees your poor avatar visibly ripped-apart in pretty awful ways. In Diablo your avatar just kinda… keels over and the ‘you’re dead’ screen appears? It happens so fast I’m not even sure I can describe the death animation before you become a ghost. If there’s one word I wouldn’t associate with a Diablo game over anyway, it’s hero.

Nevertheless, here we are in the year of our lord 2023. Amusingly enough I went to Megan Fox’s twitter profile to see if she’d commented on the Diablo social post, and she hasn’t tweeted since this in 2013: “5 days on Twitter and I have yet to discern its purpose. #WhatIsThePoint???”

The point is clearly to have Ms. Fox breathily intoning about what a good boy someone is as he miscalculates the incoming DPS and gets shanked by the Butcher. I’m sure it works for some. And having now looked at some of the quote tweets, which I will not reproduce, it clearly does.

Oh well. In terms of actual Diablo 4 news, the game’s got off to a pretty stonking start with only minimal server issues, with players already discovering some very neat stuff , though the microtransactions leave a lot to be desired in a premium priced title . As for this, well, let me pose a question and then answer it. How huge is Blizzard’s marketing budget for Diablo 4? Yes.

Who is Adam Fravel? Man arrested over Madeline Kingsbury disappearance

June 8, 2023 by www.newsweek.com Leave a Comment

The ex-partner of a missing Minnesota woman has been arrested after police found human remains near a highway on Wednesday.

Madeline Kingsbury, a 26-year-old mother of two, has been missing since March 31. The remains found in brush off Highway 43 have not been formally identified, but the discovery prompted police to detain Adam Taylor Fravel, 29, the father of Kingsbury’s children.

He was taken into custody shortly after 7:10 p.m. on Wednesday and has been charged with second-degree murder, according to Winona County records. Fravel has denied any involvement in Kingsbury’s disapperance.

She was last seen with Fravel dropping off their children, aged 2 and 5, at a daycare center in Winona, Minnesota. Fravel told investigators Kingsbury had gone out alone around 10 a.m. on March 31 and he hadn’t heard from her since.

Kingsbury’s family told local media in April that the couple’s relationship had broken down but they were still living together while Kingsbury looked for a new home.

Fravel issued a statement through his attorney in April saying: “My family and I have been subject to a myriad of accusations regarding the disappearance of the mother of my children, Maddi Kingsbury. During these last 12 days I have cooperated with law enforcement at every turn, including sitting down for multiple interviews with Winona County law enforcement.

“I did not have anything to do with Maddi’s disappearance. I want the mother of my 5-year-old and 2-year-old to be found and brought home safely. I want that more than anything.”

Fravel is currently being held in Winona County Jail and is due to appear in court on Thursday.

The children were placed in county custody after their mother’s disappearance. They are currently living with Kingsbury’s father, according to reports.

Kingsbury’s sister, Megan Kingsbury, confirmed Fravel’s arrest in a TikTok post uploaded on Wednesday night . She said the family was waiting for more information before releasing a statement, but added: “The whirlwind is just starting all over again. This is definitely a silver lining. We’re glad that he’s in custody and he’s not walking around as a free man anymore.”

Winona Police Department said in a statement on Facebook : “A Fillmore County deputy found human remains on Wednesday afternoon north of Mabel, Minnesota. The body was found in some brush off Highway 43 and was located using information generated during the Madeline Kingsbury investigation. Because of this, law enforcement personnel have arrested Adam Fravel on probable cause in connection to her disappearance.”

It added that medical examiners were “working as quickly as possible to positively identify the remains” and an update would be provided on Thursday.

The department said: “We are asking the community to respect the family’s privacy at this time and not to speculate on the case until further information is made available.”

Newsweek has reached out to Winona Police Department by email for further comment.

In Seattle, police have charged a man with murder in the case of a woman who went missing on the same day as Kingsbury.

Leticia Martinez, 58, was last seen on March 31 at a Mariners baseball game. Her body was discovered on April 12. Brett Gitchel, who had been with Martinez at the game, was later arrested on suspicion of her murder and the attempted kidnapping of her son, who escaped. He has denied the charges.

Joe Biden trips on Air Force One stairs as he leaves Poland

Joe Biden has been slammed as “shameful” after he chuckled while discussing two fentanyl deaths on Wednesday. The deaths in question surround Rebecca Kiessling’s two children who suffered fentanyl overdoses in 2020. Grand Old Party Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene attempted to blame Biden, claiming his administration failed to stop the inflow of illicit drugs into America.

Greene said during the hearing on Tuesday: “This Government has failed you, and it’s failing American families, and it’s failing, most of all, it’s failing our children and our young people.”

She tweeted after the hearing: “Listen to this mother, who lost two children to fentanyl poisoning, tell the truth about both of her son’s murders because of the Biden administration’s refusal to secure our border and stop the cartels from murdering Americans every day by Chinese fentanyl.”

Responding to Greene, Biden said: “She’s very specific recently saying that a mom, a poor mother, who lost two kids to fentanyl, that I killed her sons.”

“The interesting thing is that fentanyl they took came during the last administration,” he chuckled.

The mother said during her appearance at the House hearing that her sons’ died as a result of “murder” rather than an overdose.

She said: “I don’t use the term ‘drug overdose’ because this was not an overdose.

I’m a podiatrist – these are the three shoes I’d never wear

June 7, 2023 by www.dailymail.co.uk Leave a Comment

They’re a summer staple and beach favourite.

But flip flops are one of the worst things you can put on your feet, according to one expert.

They can force the toes to grip onto the shoe with every step, leading to painful foot conditions over time, says podiatrist Paul Macaulay.

The Singapore-based expert shared the three pairs of shoes he’d never wear on TikTok , with high heels and a popular US trainer also making his red list.

Also known as slippers and thongs, flip flops are a summer staple. But Mr Macaulay said he would never wear them

Flip flops

Also known as slippers and thongs, flip flops are a summer staple.

But Mr Macaulay said he would never wear them.

‘When you put your foot through the loops, you have to grip for the shoe and that can cause claw toeing.’

This is when the joints in the toe bend like a claw and become inflexible. Poor-fitting shoes are one of the main causes.

The constant gripping of the toes, due to wearing flip flops, can also lead to tendonitis — when a tendon swells and becomes inflamed, causing pain and stiffness.

READ MORE: Trendy hard floors could be to blame for your foot pain (and there is a simple way to stop it)

For those who do switch to hard floors, Helen Branthwaite recommends a period of acclimatisation before going barefoot, reducing the amount of foot support gradually over six to eight weeks

‘Also, when you’re walking down the street, it’s very easy to trip and fall when you’re wearing them,’ Mr Macaulay said.

‘They don’t offer your feet any support,’ he added.

Having poor support for the heel and arch of the foot can lead to painful and swollen feet and can even cause problems with the hips and knees.

Stilettos

They’re known for not being the comfiest shoe.

But high heels may not only cause temporary discomfort.

Mr Macaulay advised not wearing them due to their risk of injury.

‘I don’t want to hate on all heels because a one-and-a-half inch heel is okay for most people,’ he said.

‘But stilettos — such a thin base — actually my colleague has fallen recently and broken her foot, so it’s such a high risk of injury is worth it, even to look nice?’

Studies have shown that wearing high-heeled shoes increase the risk of injuries, musculoskeletal pain and bunions — bony limps that form on the side of the feet.

And those that have a narrow, pointed toe force the foot into an unnatural V shape, which can cause deformities over time, experts say.

Skechers

The US trainers have been around for more than three decades and cost around £60.

But Mr Macaulay said he doesn’t like Skechers.

‘These slip on ones are made tighter to hold onto your feet, so can squeeze your toes and cause problems like neuromas.’

Neuromas is a thickening of tissue around a nerve in the foot that’s been irritated or damaged.

The condition, which is linked to wearing tight, pointy or high-heeled shoes, can cause shooting, stabbing or burning pain or feel like there is a pebble under the foot.

Mr Macaulay also warned that Skechers are ‘ so soft, your foot has to do more work’.

This can leave feet feeling comfortable during the day, but actually leave them more tired compared to wearing more supportive shoes.

‘The final thing is, the shoes just don’t last long,’ he claimed.

‘They wear out so quickly and even though they seem like it’s a great deal, you’re just replacing your shoes every sort of one to two months and I just don’t think that’s very good.’
